Adventure on Vancouver Island, July 2018
We are looking forward to enjoying a really great vacation with all of you, our friends and families, this coming July of 2018! I've put together this site to help you plan your trip. It includes links to accommodations, RV Rentals, info on the local area and an itinerary of events that will be taking place. July is a great time of year for outdoor activities in British Columbia, and it is also the high season. If you are planning to attend, I advise that you book your accommodations, or RV soon.
R & B's Itinerary of Events, July 4th to 16th, 2018:
07/04/2018 (Wednesday) - B & R arrive Victoria International Airport, pick up RV, drive to Darlington Farm, 3971 Gibbins Rd. Duncan, BC, V9L 6G4.

07/05/2018 (Thursday) - Staying at Darlington Farm, getting prepared for camping trip. RV's will be parked in the field, camp out, backyard BBQ dinner, and stargazing.
07/06/2018 (Friday) - Day one of camping at the Cowichan River Provincial Park. We have reserved the Group Campsite, includes a large covered area with wood stove and 15 tent pads. See link:http://www.env.gov.bc.ca/bcparks/explore/parkpgs/cowichan_rv/
07/07/2017 (Saturday) - Day two of camping at the Cowichan River Provincial Park.
07/08/2017 (Sunday) - Pack up campsite & return to Darlington Farm. Will prepare a BBQ dinner, relax at the farm or go down to the nearby Cowichan River for a swim.
07/09/2018 (Monday) - Camping at Ruckle Provincial Park on Salt Spring Island. Links:
07/10/2018 (Tuesday) - Camping at Ruckle, hang out, eat, beach walks, explore Salt Spring!
07/11/2018 (Wednesday) - Pack up campsite and return to Darlington Farm. We will plan for a backyard BBQ Wednesday 07/11 at the Darlington Farm. Guests will be arriving from California on Wednesday / Thursday.
07/12/2018 (Thursday) - Meet for lunch at the Genoa Bay Cafe, a 20 minute drive from the Darlington Farm in beautiful Genoa Bay. Google Map of Drive from Darlington Farm to Genoa Bay Cafe.
07/13/2018 (Friday) - Meet for lunch at Jakes at the Lake, Cowichan Lake, BC / Google Map Trip from Darlington Farm to Jakes on the Lake
07/14/2018 (Saturday) - R&B's Wedding Reception at the Maple Bay Yacht Club.
07/15/2018 (Sunday) - It's Sunday, let's take it as it comes!
07/16/2018 (Monday) - It's time to return our RV and fly home to San Francisco.

RV Rent Vancouver Island (these guys rent full sized RVs, there is a $1,500.00 deposit placed on the credit card for non-canadian renters, the insurance is $15.00 a day, you get 100 kilometers a day included and the weekly rental rate is $1,200.00 Canadian)
Cool Camper Rentals (this option is a little bit cheaper, these are camper vans, not full motor homes, but they include the gas stove, camp chairs, and they will include a tent, also rent sleeping bags for $5.00 a day. The deposit is $500 and the rate is $695.00 a week or $100 a day, includes the insurance in the price and mileage.)
